![]() Big Cool Cats Music Festival ![]() Big Cool Cats Music Festival was created in the Spring of 2009 as a collaboration between three terminally hip artists in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Steve Presser (left) couldn’t get enough excitement running the best toy store in town, Big Fun on Coventry Road, the coolest street in Cleveland Heights. He kept thinking that what we needed was the coolest-ever music fest, but no one else was doing it. ![]() He bought a cup of decaf for his friend Denis Devito (right) who writes songs, plays guitar & buttonbox accordion and sings for the band Cats On Holiday, and they started talking about creating a roots/fusion/world music festival to showcase some of the hottest talent in the region. They texted their buddy Thomas Mulready (center), who isn’t busy enough sending out the weekly CoolCleveland.com e-blast to practically everyone in town. What the three of them came up with, in collaboration with the fine folks at Cain Park and the City of Cleveland Heights, is a day-long music fest to soothe the soul, rattle the rafters and get you baying at the moon. If you like what you see, buy your ticket early, but don’t pay the silly ticket surcharges. Order online here: https://coolcleveland.net/tickets/bigcoolcats We’ll see all you big cool cats at Cain Park this summer. ![]() |
